hey everyone,

I was thinking, is it possible that we could maybe have some kind of one time message when you register, explaining the quicknotes system and that you need to refresh the page? It may sound obvious to all of you, but that's because you've worked it out already. Some people arent' so experienced with computers to realise that off of their own backs. What do you all think?

I think that should be on the front page as they log in.

A lot of sites have a help page, basically just a page of text you can click on and which explains how things are done on the site, especially sites with games tend to have these.

I think a help page is a great idea. I know I asked a lot of questions and sometimes felt foolish doing so, but that was a good way to learn. A help page is a good thing to consider.

I agree, a help page would be a great thing, I know it would have helped me when I first signed up. I figured a lot of it out fast but some don't and there were things that took me a while to figure out.

Thanks people. You might've just given us yet more work to do! Appreciate it! Well, if they want the CLs to help write this, we probably won't start working on it until around late April, cause then, we might be able to work on it, until then, we will ask admin, and see what he says...

I think this is a good idea. Right now we approve new accounts to keep little troublemakers away. This information could be included in an email message that a new user receives upon being verified.

I think it would be a good idea to let new users know in some way, that they have to refresh the page to receive the next quicknotes. I think I figured it out myself, can't remember, but if a help page is too much work, it might be a good idea to have it in an email message when a new users account it verified.
